Az 1907-ben elkészült szecessziós épület 1987 óta a Világörökség része, 2004 óta pedig felújítva csodálhatjuk meg. Két étterme földig érő ablakokkal néz a Dunára, a lobby (passzázs) részből nyíló art deco bár (a képen) mindig nyitva áll, a legfelső szinten pedig medence, wellness és fitness rész várja a vendégeket. One of the best hotels in the world, leading the list in Central-Europe as a luxury destination, for us surely the most beautiful hotel building. It was concluded in 1907 in Sezession/Art Nouveau style, is part of the World Heritage since 1987 and was renovated in 2004. Both restaurants looking onto Chain Bridge and Danube have floor-to-ceiling windows, the art deco bar (pictured above) opening from the lobby with vaulted glass roof (passage) is always open and on the top floor guests can indulge themselves in spa, indoor pool and fitness room. Spring arrived, time to check out baths in Budapest! Not that in winter you don't have enough choices where to go to take a dip (for comparison: outdoor swimming pools in London). Our most exclusive spa, the Gellért is at the same time also very multifaceted: it is built together with a 4 star-hotel (operating separated though), located in the city-center similarly to the refurbished Racz furdo (re-opening soon) and boasts various types of bathers: tourists gazing at the art-nouveau building, tired but happy Budapesters floating in the water admitted by the rheumatologist, experienced regulars with season tickets called "gelazsos" in local slang, those popping in for some wellness time, Cinetrip party guests, lovers of night bathing and in the summer those enjoying the outdoor wave bath pool.
